Human behavior (CO2 emissions, pollution….) has caused an unprecedented rate of climate pattern shift. Yes, climate patterns are always in flux, but NEVER have climate patterns shifted this quickly. Changing climate patterns have already caused sea level rise, Arctic and Antarctic ice melt, changes in ocean oxygen and acidity, and an increase in extreme weather events. We can’t undo the damage we’ve already done, so yes, sea levels will certainly rise and ice caps will continue to melt. We can, however, make choices to stop the shift from getting worse. Let’s use the resources our city has and let’s encourage our city to go even further towards sustainability!
